Transnational Co-operation for Social Innovation in the Vocational Training of Roma and Other Representatives of Marginal Communities

The number of VTC registered in Bulgaria is impressive, but their practices and models in vocational training are not a prerequisite and do not guarantee the socio-economic integration of marginal communities. The project aims at introducing new learning technologies to meet the expectations of marginal communities, Roma in the field of vocational training, in the context of stimulating the development of education at the workplace. The implementation of the project aims to make vocational education an attractive and motivated choice in the management of the careers of Roma and people from marginal communities. The main activity of the project is to adapt social innovation and pilot implementation of innovative approaches and models developed to promote transnational cooperation. It is foreseen: 1. Creation of a web-based platform for joint activities between employers and VTC for the purpose of specialized training of the Roma and their preparation for active inclusion in the labor market. Adaptation of this product to the Polish project partner will bring benefits to all the target groups of the partners. 2. Applying a new methodology for creating a database of Working programs for VET on the Web based platform. The methodological start of the motivational development of the Roma for vocational education and training will be put in place with the employers and VTC's assistance. 3. Implementation of good practices and social innovation between partners, through the organization of seminars, workshops for exchange of experience and working discussions.
