“Increasing the competences of the staff of the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology, related to guaranteeing international equivalency of the standards and traceability of measurements in the field of magnetic measurements and measurements of the surface texture”

The National Center of Metrology (NCM) of Bulgarian Metrology Institute performs activities in the field of scientific metrology. In accordance with Art. 10 of the Low of Measurements NCM: - establishes, preserves and develops the national standards of the Republic of Bulgaria; - organizes the establishment and development of the national system of certified reference materials; - ensures traceability of measurements in the country; - assisting the state authorities in the realization of their powers in matters of measurement; - conducts metrological research and provides measurement and measurement services in public, scientific and economic areas; - conducts activities for international recognition of the results of the measurements carried out in Republic of Bulgaria. NCM performs activities to meet the requirements of the Mutual Recognition Arrangement for National Standards and calibration certificates from National Metrology Institutes CIPM-MRA, including Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) and their publication in the BIPM database (KCDB). The project consists of two specialized trainings. The topic of the first training is “Calibration of the measuring devices of magnetic quantities – evaluation of the uncertainty contributions and a detailed budget for the calculation of uncertainty”. The target group of the training is the staff of “Electrical measurements” Department of DG NCM, BIM. One of the laboratories of this department is for magnetic measurements. 5 employees of the “Electrical measurements” department will be trained. The topic of the second training is “Measurement of surface texture, measurement methods, standards and evaluation of the uncertainty in measurement”. The target group of the training is the staff of “Length and Time” department of DG NCM, BIM. 5 employees of the department will be trained.
