Improving the specialized knowledge and skills of the General Security Directorate officers

Directorate General Security is a legal entity to the Minister of Justice with head office in Sofia and it is secondary disposer of budget appropriations. The main purpose of the project is improving the specialized knowledge and skills of Directorate General Security officers in two main directions: - Specificity of working with vulnerable social groups of people in execution of tasks such as security of court buildings and magistrates, convoying, transportation, forced execution of verdicts in force; - Actions against threats of terrorist acts in the security of the judiciary authorities. Both subjects are selected in close connection with the Directorate General Security main functions, which are clearly defined in the Rules of Procedure of the Directorate. The organization and implementation of the project activities will increase the officers work efficiency, by upgrading their professional competence with specific knowledge, which is not a subject to general education. The expected effects are: - Inclusion of thirty five (35) officers of Directorate General Security in specialized trainings; - Successful passing of specialized trainings and obtaining of certificates by 35 officers (100 %) of the target group; The candidate corresponds to the eligibility criteria and has an experience in implementing similar activities to those included in the project proposal. The project manager and accountant have valuable experience in project management and both are employees to the Directorate General Security. The project costs are effective and efficient, in full accordance with the attached Financial efficiency justification. The project is in sync and fulfills four of the horizontal principles of the European Union, applicable to Operational Program Good Governance. The project implementation period is 5 months (not later than 31/12/2018) and the implementation place is Bulgaria.
