Improvement and development of the professional competence of surveillance and control bodies of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance

One of the prerequisites for achieving highly efficient administration of State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance (SAMTS) is the ensuring of high level of the SAMTS employees' competence, increasing of the expert potential as well as expansion of the specialized skills and knowledge of SAMTS employees. In this connection the project main activities are related to the organisation and carrying out of specialized trainings of SAMTS employees. Information and communication activities are also included in the project. The improvement and extension of professional competence and qualification of the SAMTS specialized administration will be achieved by means of the project activities' implementation and that will guarantee equal conditions for marketing of products on the Bulgarian market, preventing unfair competition and supporting the proper functioning of national conformity assessment system. The planed results' achievement will lead to a higher expert level of activities' performance, to ensuring the conditions for reducing the time of activities' execution and improvement of the users' satisfaction related to the administrative services provided by SAMTS. The implementation of information and communication activities will provide actual information to the economic operators on the project and the Operational Program "Good Governance" as well as on the SAMTS activities. The strengthening and development of the professional competence of SAMTS surveillance and control bodies will guarantee better consumer's protection against incorrect measurements, protection of society and environment from dangerous and non-compliant products, dangerous for exploitation high-risk equipment and poor quality liquid fuels and will guarantee the carrying out of reliable and effective control of the technical condition and safe exploitation of dam walls and related facilities.
