Conducting specialized trainings to increase specific knowledge, improving skills and enhancing expert capacity of the employees of the Executive Environment Agency

The EEA is part of the state administration system for environmental monitoring and assessment, which controls the achieving compliance with international standards and good practices in relation to the obligations of the Republic of Bulgaria to comply with environmental standards within the EU Community. With its multipurpose team of specialized professionals, the Agency has diverse duties ranging from sampling and analysis, to statistical methods, software development and implementation, collecting and managing databases and spatial arrays, maintaining digital models and GIS, to providing public access to information in emergency situations and environmental crises. In this connection, there is a need to constantly increasing knowledge and improve the skills of the experts to ensure the quality and continuity of the work processes. The overall objective of the project is to improve the expertise of the EEA by providing access to high-quality training and providing learning opportunities within working process, thereby increasing the knowledge and skills of the central administration.The activities envisaged in the project related to organizing and conducting specialized trainings for the employees, incl. the specialized administration of the Directorates and the Regional Laboratories will increase and enhance their knowledge, skillsq capacity and expertise potential.The expected results of the project will help to achieve better regulation and management in the field of environmental protection through improved coordination, efficiency and compliance between the public needs and the identified needs of the target group. Within the framework of the project, 3 specialized trainings will be provided in 9 identified thematic areas in the field of activities and competences of the EEA, and finally 133 employees will receive certificates for successfully completed trainings.
