Specialized trainings at the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM) for performing control of electronic systems with fiscal memory (ESFM) and metrological control of measuring instruments (MI) managed by software

The Bulgarian Institute of Metrology is a state independent body at the Ministry of Economy. Some of its main activities are: • Creation, maintenance and improvement of the national standards of measures of the Republic of Bulgaria; • maintaining a management system in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025 • performing metrological control of the measuring instruments (MI) – examination for type approval of MI, incl. examination of software and approval of MI, controlled by software: initial and subsequent verification and metrological expertise of MI; • examination of products for electromagnetic compatibility and environmental impact; • examination of gaming equipment and software used therein; • control of vapor recovery systems; • type approval of fiscal devices as well as initial and subsequent control of electronic systems with fiscal memory (ESFM). In line with these activities, within the framework of the current project proposal, 3 specialized trainings will be carried out, which will cover the exercising of control of the ESFM, the activities exercising control of MIs, controlled by software and the activities related to examination of software for MI's type approval. The training on exercising control of the ESFM will be conducted outside of Sofia, and 60 employees from the General Directorate “Measures and Measuring Instruments (GDMMI) will be trained on this topic. The training on exercising control of MIs, controlled by software will also be conducted outside of Sofia, and 100 GDMMI employees will be trained on this topic. The training on examination of software for MI's type approval will be conducted in a BIM laboratory in Sofia and 5 employees will be trained. A total of 165 employees will be trained, who will receive a certificate for the conducted training.
