Specialized training in the administration of the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM) for alignment of the implemented management systems to the new requirements of the standard BDS ISO/IEC 17025:2018 " General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories"

The Bulgarian Institute of Metrology is a state independent body at the Ministry of Economy. Some of its main activities are: • Creation, maintenance and improvement of the national standards of measures of the Republic of Bulgaria; • maintaining a management system in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025 • performing metrological control of the measuring instruments (MI) – examination for type approval of MI, incl. examination of software and approval of MI, controlled by software: initial and subsequent verification and metrological expertise of MI; • examination of products for electromagnetic compatibility and environmental impact; • examination of gaming equipment and software used therein; • control of vapor recovery systems; • type approval of fiscal devices as well as initial and subsequent control of electronic systems with fiscal memory (ESFM). According to the activity for maintaining of a management system in accordance with BSS ISO / IEC 17025, two specialized trainings will be carried out in connection with the training in the new version from 2018 of the standard in two directions. One direction is for aligning the management systems to the new requirements according to the new version from 2018. The second direction is for a training on performing audits of management systems under the new version of the standard from 2018. The entire BIM administration will take part in the first training. 200 employees will be trained. The second training will be for 50 employees of BIM. Both trainings will be held outside Sofia. A total of 250 employees will be trained who will receive a certificate for the conducted training.
