Improving regulation and governance in the area of public needs by acquiring new knowledge and practical experience to improve the qualifications and skills of the employees in the Commission for Consumer Protection

The capacity of control and regulatory bodies continues to be a major challenge before the various state administration institutions. The Commission for Consumer Protection as part of the central administration exercises its main activity as a controlling body in respect of the laws in the sphere of public needs in relation to citizens' rights, alerts, complaints and proposals. In this regard, improving coordination, efficiency and compliance with public needs in the Commission's work will have an impact on better regulation and better management of related processes. The aim of the project is to increase the specific knowledge, qualifications and skills of CPC staff, by acquiring new knowledge and practical experience on predefined topics based on the identified needs of the specialized administration. The activities envisaged in the project related to organizing and conducting specialized trainings for the working specialists in the CPC, including the specialized administration of the Directorate General Market Control, the six regional directorates and Directorate Consumer Protection at Distance Selling will increase and augment the knowledge, skills and competencies of the experts. Expected results from project implementation facing the successfully passed through series of theoretical and practical trainings employees of the central administration, will help to achieve better regulation and good governance in the area of public needs through improved coordination, efficiency and compliance with the identified needs of the target group. Within the project, two specialized trainings will be provided in four identified thematic areas in the sphere of activity, competencies and powers of the CPC during which a total of 480 employees will be trained, who will be awarded certificates for successfully completed training.
