DIGITAL SMEs - Enhancing the Input of SMEs to the Implementation of Digital Economy Policies

The BCCI will carry out in the 28 administrative centres of the country a profound national research among the business, non-governmental branch associations, citizens and civil society structures on the innovation level of Bulgarian SMEs, SME readiness to make digital their production processes in connection with Industry 4.0, introduce digital marketing and apply digital exchange of information with the public and municipal administration, and the clients; the effect on business and citizens of SME digitalization; the obstacles and challenges before this process. The BCCI will prepare 4 cross-section analyses and a summary analysis, based on the research results and will prepare not less than 8 recommendations for the improvement of the regulative framework and of the applied aspects of the policies, concerning digital economy. On the basis of the analysis the candidate will elaborate a set of tools for encouraging the active participation of the business, branch associations and citizens in the development, implementation and monitoring of the policies, concerning digital economy. The BCCI will exchange experience and good practices with the other European chambers of commerce, members of the network of the Association of the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry /EUROCHAMBRES/ in connection with the introduction of the digital approach by SMEs. The Chamber in cooperation with its regional structures - the regional chambers of commerce and industry - intends to organize and carry out in the 28 district centres of the country a national communication campaign, by organization of 29 round tables with the participation of representatives of the business, branch associations, public and municipal authorities, citizens and structures of civil society for popularization of the developed set of tools and of the prepared recommendations for the improvement of the regulative framework and of the applied aspects of the policies, concerning digital economy.
