Danube Youth Agenda

The project aims to contribute for improvement of the formulation and implementation of youth policies at the local level in the Danube region in line with European and national standards and good practices, based on monitoring, feedbacks, partnership and recommendations from the civil society. The target groups include the municipal authorities responsible for local youth policy, civic organizations (youth and working with youth), as well as the community in the municipalities of Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Rousse, Targovishte, Razgrad and Silistra). The aim of the project will be achieved with the following activities: Carrying out an informational campaign to attract the participation and mapping of the youth resources in the listed municipalities; Development of Methodology and tools for civil monitoring and evaluation of the youth policy at the municipal level; Expert meeting for adoption of Methodology and its editing and complimentary. Monitoring and evaluation of municipal youth policies in the target area by a research team using the adopted Methodology; Conducting a Round table on Municipal Youth Policies with the participation of representatives of municipalities and civil society organizations from the target area; Publishing of printed materials - leaflet with the description of the project and a collection of its products as well as a specialized web site; Enhance the applicant's capacity for civic monitoring and advocacy on youth policies as one of the sustainability and multiplication measures. The main products of the project are the Methodology and tools for youth policy assessment at the municipal level and a report from the civil monitoring of municipal youth policies, which will be accessible through the publications, including online. The duration of the project is 14 months.
