Effective interaction among the public administration, citizens and companies for open and responsible management of the municipality of Pomorie

The project at improving the management and effectiveness of policies in Pomorie Municipality through partnership between the public administration, citizens and companies. The collaboration within the framework of the project will be done by a NGO– an association- “CHAR- Black Sea Development Association– Bourgas” and a municipality- Pomorie Municipality, which is a good approach to the achievement of goals we set. We plan to implement joint activities aimed at stimulating the participation of citizens in the management and the implementation of 3 municipal policies: Sustainable Local Development Policy, Social Policy and Environmental Policy. We have applied a combined approach for formulating the project activities. Public discussions and Public Consultations and Analysis of the Activity of the Municipal Administration of Pomorie, and the participation of citizens and companies in the implementation of the municipal policies, which will form the basis for the formulation of recommendations. These recommendations will form part of the Monitoring and Control by citizens Mechanism and will be set for implementation in a tripartite Agreement on compliance with the rules and regulations of the Mechanism. A Conference “Administration, civil society and business- partners in the management and implementation of municipal policies” will be held, within which the local capacity for the participation of citizens. The planned Information Campaign will raise public awareness of the project and the opportunities for participation of the citizens and control in the implementation of local policies. As a result of the implementation of the project, the interaction among the public administration, citizens and companies will be improved; it will increase the activities in the NG sector, business and civil society and will create a favourable environment for more open and responsible management of the Pomorie municipality.
