The project is aimed at improving the environment for transparent management and public accessibility in the reporting of public/budgetary resources for healthcare in prescription medicines, in partnership with citizens and business, and making recommendations related to improving civic participation in the processes of drug policy and legislation in the field of medicines. The Candidate and the partner plan to carry out the following activities to achieve this objective: 1. Carrying out research, studies and analysis related to the civic participation in the processes of health technology assessments, pricing, reimbursement and control of prescription medicines paid by public/budgetary resources in the country; 2. Developing a mechanism and tools for feedback and assessment by citizens and businesses on civic participation in tracking the processes as described in Action 1; 3. Sharing good practices related to improving civic participation in the processes as described in Action 1; 4. Making recommendations for engaging civic participation in the processes as described in Action 1; 5. Organising a conference with stakeholders. The expected outcome is to increase the interaction between administrations, citizens and business and to improve the socio-economic environment resulting from the: - Analysis of legislation and practices in health technology assessment processes, pricing, reimbursement of prescription medicines, as well as the accountability and control system for spending public/budgetary resources - Recommendations related to improving civic participation in these processes.
