Look before you leap: a civil advocacy initiative for regulation of the issue of involvement of parents, teachers and pupils in the process of preparing and approving learning content

The Project "Look before you leap: a civil advocacy initiative for regulation of the issue of involvement of parents, teachers and pupils in the process of preparing and approving learning content" is a civic initiative to improve the quality of public policies in the field of education. The project aims at contributing to a more active inclusion of parents in the educational process. For this purpose, an in-depth study of EU experience on the subject is foreseen. A study of the views and attitudes of teachers, pupils and parents on parental involvement will be conducted in order to analyze typologically significant opinions and to offer adequate patterns of parenting engagement. The project will develop and propose specific legislative initiatives to regulate the wider participation of teachers, parents and pupils in the process of preparation, probation and improvement of new curricula. This will support the national efforts towards improving pupils' functional literacy and connecting the curriculum more closely with real practice.
