WE DECIDE TOGETHER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KASPICHAN

The project will be implemented on the territory of the Municipality of Kaspichan and covers the period 2015-2019 as a graduating mayoral mandate. Its aim is to increase the activity of the representatives of the civil society in the processes of interaction with the municipal administration. From the surveys made in 2017 for the influence of the non-governmental sector in the policy formulation processes in the country, 45.1% believe that this influence is limited. The activities of the project "WE DECIDE TOGETHER IN MUNICIPALITY OF KASPICHAN" are aimed at activating and satisfying the needs of all target groups in Kaspichan municipality. Through the activities we will collect a database and analyze the existing forms, means and methods of interaction between managers and managers in Kaspichan Municipality. We will evaluate this interaction both on the part of the administration and through a survey among a wide range of civil society representatives in each of the nine settlements of the municipality. By conducting a roundtable discussion, we will step up the non-governmental sector to generate new ideas and suggestions for interaction with the municipal administration. After studying and analyzing good practices in 10 small European municipalities and based on analyzes from the municipal administration and civil society representatives, we will formulate recommendations and develop an innovative methodology as a tool for better interaction. We will present it at a conference with the participation of all interested parties. The period is very suitable for the implementation of the project, as at the end of the mayoral term in 2019, we will gather the positive experience and recommend to the new mayoral team mechanisms for more open, responsible governance in partnership with the non-governmental sector.
