This project proposal focuses on enhancing civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of donation policies - an extremely important topic, and at the same time often overlooked. Donation in Bulgaria has a rich history in the past centuries, and in our time is forgotten. Citizen participation is an integral part of defining priorities for the development of the country in various social spheres, decision-making and policy-making aimed at meeting important societal needs - something that has previously happened actively in the sphere of donation through him. There are many good modern mechanisms for active civic participation and the application of the principles of transparency, openness and efficiency of government to help the donor traditions. This project will identify, analyze and adapt them to the current reality and will implement them in a pilot way to inform about the possibilities and motivation of followers. We take into account the fact that the Strategy for Development of the State Administration 2014-2020 considers that the mechanisms for interaction with the civil organizations are insufficiently developed and do not create conditions for active citizenship. The identified problems in the field of public consultations and the active publication of information by state institutions come to prove again that the state should develop and use in parallel different forms and instruments for involving citizens and their organizations in policy-making and decision-making. This is what we propose with this project, and we believe that we will successfully validate such new forms and instruments and encourage citizens and their organizations in shaping policies and making decisions, especially in the field of donation.
