The participation of young people in the process of formulation of public policies for environmental protection - guarantee for sustainable future!

Ecology and energy development of the Balkans Association is a non- governmental organisation. Its main object of action is to promote the environmental issues and sustainable development, in that matter the organisation conducts different trainings, conferences and surveys to collect actual data. The project "The participation of young people in the process of formulation of public policies for environmental protection - guarantee for sustainable future!" increases the opportunities of young people to participate in the decision making process by developing and proposing concrete recommendations on youth participation on the formulation of environmental public policies. The project proposal will contribute both to gathering up-to-date data on the subject, to develop specific recommendations on the involvement of different stakeholders and to develop appropriate feedback and evaluation mechanisms, it will develop the skills of young people to participate, and it will develop the understanding public administration representatives why to involve young people. The results of the project will create prerequisites for long-term interaction between the various stakeholders and will contribute to strengthening the principles of "good governance". The project will also follow the horizontal principles of the Program, offering equal opportunities for participation and non-discrimination in the selection of participation in different activities. The project also envisages partnership with the public administration, as well as conducting research and consultations with various stakeholders. The topic of the project is directly related to the third principle of the Program, sustainable development, and is part of the overall implementation and achievement of the results. The project team will follow the life cycle of the project, namely: identification of the problem, initiation, planning, management, project completion, and constant monitoring and monitoring.
