Establishment of a Northwestern Regional Board "Education-Business" as Public-Private Partnership

The Northwest Regional Board (SRB) EDUCATION-BUSINESS is an innovative mechanism for coordination and support of the cooperation between local authorities, social partners and businesses in formulating, implementing and monitoring regional policies in Vocational Education and Training (VET). Target groups - citizens; vocational schools; public administration; social partners in the districts of Lovech, Vratsa and Montana; MES; MLSP. Goals: - Improving the effectiveness of cross-sectoral interaction in the field of VET in the project districts; - Improving the quality of education services in the 3 districts; - Creating conditions for improving the socio-economic environment and facing the increased demand for human resources with adequate professional qualifications and competencies. Activities: - Exploring the existing mechanisms for interaction and links between central and local institutions and businesses in formulation, implementation and monitoring of VET policies in the project districts; - Collecting data for best practices in coordination and support of cooperation between local authorities, social partners and businesses in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of regional policies in the field of VET - Mapping of the participants in the public-private partnership "Education-Business" - Establishment of the Northwest Regional Board "Education-Business" - Public presentation of the Board. Results: - Successfully implemented project by NGO - Forum; - Analyzes of applied policies and collected data on good practices in the field of VET; - A wide range of stakeholders that are involved in decision-making and policy-making for VET in the 3 districts; - Establishment of an "Education-Business" Board as public private partnership that formulates and manages the VET policies on district level; - Promoted project.
