Increasing the citizens participation in the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of the policies in the field of competitiveness and innovation

Professional Association "European and National Development Programs" and Foundation "SOS Entrepreneurs" are non-profit organizations in public interest with goals related to the promotion of civic participation and support to the state administration in the process of formulation and implementation of the public policies and the creation of a well-regulated transparent environment for the implementation of public policies. The two organizations plan to implement the following activities under the project: 1. Perform a study, related to a current status analysis and research of good practices and innovative solutions, and formulation of recommendations to improve citizens participation in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the policies in the field of competitiveness and innovation. 2. Elaborate mechanisms and tools for participation of the citizens and businesses in the formulation and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the policies and decisions of the administration in the field of competitiveness and innovation policies. 3. Conduct trainings for the staff and members of the applicant and the partner, related to improving the civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of the competitiveness and innovation policies. 4. Organize an information campaign to raise public awareness of the mechanisms and tools for civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of competitiveness and innovation policies. 5. Hold a 'round table' discussion with the stakeholders in the field of competitiveness and innovation policies. The implementation of the project will contribute to achieving a real partnership governance between the administration, citizens and businesses, more open and accountable governance, and a better regulatory environment ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the competitiveness and innovation policies.
