Promoting civic participation in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of anti-discrimination and integration policies

The present project proposal has been developed with the basic idea to lay the foundations for providing opportunities for citizen participation in the work of state bodies and institutions in the field of anti-discrimination and integration policies. The focus of the project is to improve the conditions and opportunities for active citizenship of disadvantaged people in management. The project includes the following activities: - Exploration of the active citizen participation of disadvantaged people in the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of integration policies; - Develop a mechanism for monitoring integration policies - Capacity building: exchange of experience and training; - Conducting a notification campaign; The logical line of the project follows the creation of a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of integration policies in Bulgaria and formulating recommendations for optimizing them. The individual activities are in a cause and effect relationship designed to maximize the problem and to define sustainable measures to achieve better policy and civil control implementation. The creation of a tool for monitoring anti-discrimination policies should be seen as a prerequisite for transforming Bulgarian society into a modern and developing society, in line with the European community. By promoting civic participation in governance, society can be a kind of corrective of political priorities and goals and be a tool for public control over state policy.
