Civil participation for an open and public administration

The main problem Our project is aimed at solving the following main problem: low level of civil participation in the processes of formulating, implementing and monitoring policies that are carried out by the executive administration of Yambol region. The target groups of the project are: • Employees from 6 administrative structures of the executive power in Yambol region – 15 people; • NGO – 20 of their employees; • Business – 15 representatives; • Public community – 1160 people; The main objectives of the project are: 1. Support of the public administrations in Yambol region for an open and responsible governing with the participation of the citizens; 2. Giving recommendations to 6 local public administrations for improvement of the processes of formulating and carrying out policies; 3. Creating opportunities for the public administrations in Yambol region for partnered governing along with the citizens and businesses; 4. Raising the public awareness in Yambol region about the possibilities for civil participation in the processes of formulating, implementing and monitoring policies; We plan to execute the following activities: 1. Training of the personnel of the candidate 2. Carrying out a research 3. Civil monitoring and assessment of the public administrations 4. Development of a web platform for civil participation 5. Draw up recommendations and suggestions 6. Organization of an information campaign 7. Carrying out a round table talk The implementation of the project will provide the achievement of the following indicators: 1. Number of projects that have been carried out entirely by NGOs – 1; 2. Recommendations from NGOs towards the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring policies – minimum 12; 3. Supported researches, methods, monitoring and assessment of the administration – 4; 4. Number of carried out information campaigns – 1; Total budget of the project: 53 424.36 lv.
