Improving the knowledge, skills and qualifications of the municipal employees

The aim of the project proposal is to provide professional and expert management by the municipal employees by increasing their knowledge, skills and qualification by the project "Improvement The capacity of the municipal employees to provide quality public services". The implementation of the objective will be achieved by conducting of over 250 trainings on key issues for the municipal administration and conducting trainings for trainers. It is foreseen that over 5000 municipal employees on labor and employment relationship to be involved in trainings on 15 training modules directly related to the basic municipal services. Conducting trainings for trainers (predominant part of which are municipal employees) and their participation as lecturers in the training sessions for the target groups will ensure the multiplier effect and sustainability of the project results. Definition of training modules subject, on which the trainings will be carried out on the current project, is based on an analysis of the needs of the Municipal employees on the project completed under the OPGG. There is also an opportunity to develop up to 5 new training modules, as well in case of changes in the legal framework and/or identified need of municipalities. In order to cover the widest possible range of municipal representatives, each training module will be offered in two forms personal attendance and from distance. The project implementation will contribute to the better management of the local level and for the improvement of the quality of the services provided by municipalities for citizens and businesses and to establish the role of the National Association of Municipalities as Information and Qualification Centre for development of the knowledge, skills and qualifications of the employees of the municipal administrations
