Specialized trainings for the administration of Directorate of Natural Park "Belasitsa"

Nature Park "Belasitsa" was declared by Order No. RD--925 of December 28, 2007 by the Minister of Environment and Water. NP ‘’Belasitsa’’ is located in the most southwestern part of Bulgaria and covers the northern slopes of Mt. Belasitsa. It borders to the west with the Republic of Macedonia, and to the south with the Republic of Greece. NP "Belasitsa" covers the lands of the villages of Gabrene, Skrut, Klyuch, Yavornitsa, Kamena, Samuilovo, Kolarovo, Belasitsa (known as Podgorie) and the town of Petrich together with the land of the village of Rudzhak, all located on the territory of the municipality of Petrich, Blagoevgrad district. The total area of the park is 117 324,318 decares. The current project proposal “Specialized trainings for the administration of the Directorate Nature Park ‘’Belasitsa ‘’ proposes a number of trainings for the administration, divided into 4 project activities, each addressing specific areas in which the administration can optimize its knowledge and work. The implementation of the project will contribute to the achievement of the objective of the procedure: "Improving the specialized knowledge and skills of employees regional offices/branches and regional structures. " The main activities of the project are: Activity 1: Trainings on good practices in biodiversity conservation and monitoring; Activity 2: Trainings on specific park control and conservation activities; Activity 3: Trainings on the specific tasks of the Beneficiary related to the development of the structure, including tourism; Activity 4: Specialized trainings in GIS and their application in the activities of the park; geodatabases, field work and verification. All activities are planned to be carried out on the territory of Bulgaria. For each project activity, the Beneficiary has also provided costs for preparation of project documentation, as well as indirect costs for project management, information and publicity, amounting to 8% of the cost of the activities
