Increasing the administrative capacity of the ''Central Balkan National Park'' Directorate

According to the Law on Protected Areas, ''Central Balkan National Park'' Directorate is a specialized regional body - an independent legal entity directly subordinated to the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria, a secondary budget spending unit. Its functions and structure are defined in the Rules on the Structure and Activity of the National Parks Directorates. The project proposal “Increasing the administrative capacity of the ''Central Balkan National Park'' Directorate” proposes a number of trainings for the specialized administration of the National Park Directorate, separated into several separate activities, each addressing specific areas in which the specialized administration of the National park can optimize its knowledge and work. The implementation of the project will contribute to the achievement of the objective of the procedure, namely: "Improvement of the specialized knowledge and skills of employees in the territorial units / divisions and territorial structures". The main activities of the project are: Activity 1: Specialized trainings in the field of environmental legislation; Activity 2: Specialized training in the areas of climate change management, innovation implementation and tourism management; Activity 3: Specialized training related to law enforcement and capture of offenders; Activity 4: Specialized training for working with geographical information systems and their application in the specific activities of employees. All activities are planned to be carried out on the territory of Bulgaria. For each project activity, the Beneficiary has also provided costs for preparation of project documentation, as well as indirect costs for project management, information and publicity, amounting to 8% of the cost of the activities.
