Improvement of the professional skills and competence of the employees of the territorial units of the Road Infrastructure Agency in Southern Bulgaria

The purpose of this project is to assist the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) in the process of improving the professional competence, skills and motivation of the employees in the Agency's territorial units in Southern Bulgaria, which will be achieved by specialized training courses on topics directly related with activities and processes that are specific to this units. The project will provide training on four topics, selected on the basis of analysis of the most important specific functions and activities of the territorial units, for which the Agency’s employees could benefit from the improvement of the competence. The topics are as follows: Activity 1 - "Control of the performance of the various repair activities and reporting of types of work" Activity 2 - "Basic principles for re- asphalting and repairing road sections" Activity 3 - "Road safety inspections under Directive (EU) 2019/1936 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23.10.2019 amending Directive 2008/96/EC on the management of road infrastructure safety" Activity 4 – „Characteristics in carrying out administrative penal procedures under the Administrative Violations and Penalties Act by the Territorial Units of the RIA" The trainings will be carried out by RIA staff - experts with the necessary education, experience and qualification, who are also familiar with the legal base governing the activities of RIA territorial units, as well as the Agency's internal rules, procedures and responsibilities. The target groups are the employees of the Territorial Units of the RIA - Regional Road Administrations (RRA) and National Toll Management (NTM) in Southern Bulgaria. Implementation of the project will increase the specialized knowledge, professional skills, competence and motivation of the employees of RRA and NTM at the RIA in Southern Bulgaria, thus the RIA administration will be able to give an adequate response to the expectations and needs of society, citizens and business.
