The present project proposal includes the provision of 1 specialized training for 2 target groups: probation officers and prison staff who apply electronic monitoring to offenders under the provision of Art. 263, para. 1 of the Law on the Execution of Sentences and Detention. Probation officers and employees of open-type prison dormitories shall put on and dismantle personal identification devices and notify employees of the Control Center for the activation of the database in the electronic monitoring system. They provide information to persons with electronic moniotring on how the system works. They control the implementation of electronic monitoring of offenders through the technical devices in the electronic surveillance system for each person monitored. They respond promptly to alerts and events sent by devices for personal identification of tablets or telephones or through the Control Center, performing on-site checks and consequently processing the alerts and events in the system. In accordance with these functions and activities, within this project proposal, 1 specialized training of probation officers and prison staff will be conducted to improve their skills in the practical implementation of electronic monitoring of offenders. The training will include the acquirement of practical aspects related to personal identification devices and other technical items necessary for electronic monitoring. The training will be attended by 200 employees from the territorial units of the General Directorate "Execution of Sentences". The individual group courses will be carried out in the place of employment or outside the settlement. At the end of the course, all students will receive a certificate for the specialized training.
