Increasing the role and responsibilities of citizens in the democratic development at the local level in the municipality of Beloslav

This project proposal is aimed at increasing the activity of citizens in determining public needs and ways to meet them at local and regional level to achieve responsible and open governance. This requires citizens to have the opportunity to participate in the work of local and state bodies and institutions and to influence the decision-making, development and implementation of policies, strategic documents, laws and other regulations in order to achieve maximum coherence and consensus between them. and the state on various topics on the public agenda. Civic participation is one of the fundamental rights and characteristics of a democratic society. With the implementation of the project the foundation sets itself a responsible task to fulfill with content the various opportunities and forms of citizen involvement, to present a snapshot of the state in which environment the civic participation manifests itself and whether it really influences the management decisions. The project proposal includes the activities: 1.Activities for development of analyzes, researches, assessments, related to the improvement of the civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of local development policies. 2.Activities for development of mechanisms and tools for civil monitoring and implementation of civil monitoring on the actions, decisions, policies and legislation carried out by the state. 3.Joint activities between NGOs, as intermediaries of citizens and businesses, and administrations for the implementation of public policies, legislation and governance. 4.Activities for raising public awareness and promoting civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation. As a result of the implementation of the activities, the conducted researches and analyzes, recommendations will be made as a basis for generating ideas for more successful stimulation of the active civic participation.
