For better management

The project multiplies the activities and results of a project under Procedure BG05SFOP001-2.009, implemented in the municipality of Kresna. In essence, it does not repeat the methods and manner of implementation of the activities of the previous project, due to significant differences in the appearance, population, structure and local policies in an aging municipality of Kresna and a large municipality such as Pernik. Through its activities, the project seeks to reduce the distance between citizens and government. By conducting extensive sociological surveys on the quality of public services by the local administration, on the formation and monitoring of public policies for the transition to a "green economy", opportunities will be sought for better and better governance. After analyzing the data, recommendations will be prepared to the Municipal Council and the administration for improving the processes of providing services and a better regulatory environment; fight against corruption; planning measures to solve the main environmental problem, etc. Advocacy and information campaigns under the project are aimed at formulating new public policies and changing public attitudes. The most important part of the project is the preparation for and launch of the Citizens Advice Bureau /CAB /, which is created similarly to that in Kresna and according to the British model. Through the CAB, the municipality of Pernik will seek an additional opportunity to meet the need of citizens for information about the upcoming transformation to a low-carbon industry. The scope and objectives of CAB will be significantly different from that in Kresna. The basis of the success of CAB in the municipality of Pernik will be the creation of a software product that will accumulate answers to questions asked by citizens and companies, as the range of topics and questions is often repeated, which allows accumulation and use of database - administrative and volunteer resources are saved.
