CIVIL MONITORING OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT PROGRAM

The project is a system of measures, the implementation of which aims to improve the administration of the process of assignment of tenders after the latest amendments to the Public Procurement Act, to promote taking public benefits from the work of local government in a corruption-free environment and to strengthen civil control over the work of the institutions. The Program for Civil Monitoring of Public Procurement benefits both parties to the monitoring, helps to increase the interaction between the administration and citizens and businesses on one hand, and on the other- to increase the activity of NGOs and EPAs in the implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation. The Corruption Risk Index developed and provided by the team to be applied in public procurement will be able to serve as a tool for early warning and prevention of misuse of public funds. The project is a comprehensive program to stimulate civic activism, which aims to increase accountability in spending public funds and increase the contribution of transparency in the work of public institutions at district and municipal level in order to strengthen good governance and create a favorable environment for development of the private sector.
