„Active citizens for clean air“

This proposal focuses on establishment of successful cross-sectoral partnership in the field of air quality protection by conducting civil monitoring of local air quality protection policy, conducting research, analysis and evaluation of current measures to ensure air quality at the local level, formulating recommendations, establishing a local Public Council in the Air sector and conducting a broad information campaign. The target groups of the project are: public administration - local administration, RIEW Montana, regional government structures, social-economic partners, business, NGOs, other institutions involved in improving air quality, local community. The project objectives are to increase the cooperation and interaction between the administration, business and citizens in the processes of formation and monitoring of the policies for control, management and protection of the air quality, as well as to ensure open and responsible government. These objectives will be achieved through the implementation of the following activities: 1. Research, analysis and assessment of the impact / effect of the implementation of local policies for the provision of air quality. 2. Civil monitoring of local air quality policies. 3. Establishment of a network of interested partners, formation of a Public Council for implementation and monitoring of the local policies for protection of the air. 4. Information campaign for increasing the civic participation in the local policies for providing air quality. As a result of the project implementation the collaboration between the administration and the citizens will increase, the activity of the civil society will increase and specific recommendations will be made for improving the policies for protection and improvement of air quality, as well as to increase citizen participation in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies, will increase confidence in the work of local administration.
