Administration, civil society and business partners for effective governance

The project contributes to improving the monitoring and evaluation of policies implemented by the Municipality of Vidin in public administration and administrative services, and the need to meet its implementation is to achieve active citizenship in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies for sustainable local development. The responsible governance in partnership with citizens and businesses goes through effective forms of communication, accessible information and accountability. This approach is also the focus of the proposed project. Through surveys and analysis within the existing models and the specifics of civic participation and control, emphasis is placed on the system of civic monitoring and evaluation by citizens and businesses for their relationship with the municipal administration, and on the evaluation of the administration and authorities to manage the effect of their work and their interaction with citizens and businesses. The main activities are related to research, analysis and recommendations for the work of the municipal administration, including municipal advisory councils and commissions and the municipal council-Vidin and improving civic participation in policy formulation and implementation and civic monitoring of the administration. The target groups of the project are: municipal employees, municipal councilors, NGOs, business organizations, citizens. The project objectives correspond to Specific Objective 3 "Increasing civic participation in the process of policy formulation and control" of Priority Axis 2 "Effective and professional governance in partnership with civil society and business". The successful implementation of the project will contribute to improving the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of local policies and will create conditions for achieving open and responsible governance. The project is implemented by two public benefit associations from Vidin with a budget of 59276.45BGN.
