Bringing electronic services closer to the citizens

Project “Bringing electronic services closer to the citizens”, a partnership between Centre for Immigration and Integration and Centre for Policy Modernisation, aims a contribution to government in partnership with the citizens by supporting the efforts for increasing the use of electronic administrative services and raising awareness of them. This general objective consists of three specific objectives: enriching the information and knowledge of the institutions regarding barriers to the use of electronic services; discovering good practices for activation of the use of administrative electronic services and providing a tool for practical implementation of this activation. The project is organized in three activities – survey on how to reach potential users that will outline barriers to the use of electronic services; activities for experimental activation of the use of electronic services; and compiling a communication guide. These activities address the target groups of administrative structures providing electronic administrative services on the central and local level and the general public as potential users. The planned results will be to outline and group the reasons for use/non-use of electronic public services; to outline and group the citizens’ expectations to the electronic public services; to formulate recommendations for types of activities that will increase the use of electronic services; three produced formats of communication means for activation of the use of electronic administrative services and experimentally verified with quantified effectiveness, customized to specific user groups; produced tool for engaging the citizens for increased attention to the electronic administrative services that could be used by the administrations of the respective competent institutions.
