The main goal of the project proposal is: Encouraging citizen participation in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies for the development of leadership competencies of school principals The specific objectives are the following: 1 (SO 1). Partnership management with citizens and businesses 2 (SO 2). Open and responsible management The main target groups of the project are: 1. Structures of the state administration, in particular the Ministry of Education and Science 2. NGOs and structures representing school principals 3. Business 4. General public The project proposal provides for the implementation of 3 main activities: 1. Carrying out of a study "Development of school principals’ leadership skills – key to quality education". 2. Development of recommendations for the improvement of the legislative base, related to school principals’ leadership competences development and carrying out of an advocacy campaign, based on the recommendations. 3. Holding of a final conference with the participation of the business, civil and public sector for follow-up activities on the application of the results on a macro level. The implementation of the project will create the necessary conditions to meet the needs for research of the needs for qualification and support in the field of management of school principals for the development of their leadership competencies. As a result of the project implementation, major points of improvement of the legislative base, related to school principals’ leadership competences will be put forward. Stakeholders from the business, civil and public sector will be engaged in the endorsement of the recommendations and in the proposal of actionable next steps.
