Increasing the civic participation and the role of the ASSOCIATION "RUGBY CLUB - BALKAN CATS" in decision-making and implementation of policies by the Municipality of Berkovitsa for sports and health of citizens

This project proposal is aimed at promoting civic participation in public administration, increasing the direct impact on policy decisions that are essential for the development of sport. In order to achieve this dialogue and to establish a practice of permanent cooperation between the local authorities in the person of the Municipality of Berkovitsa and representatives of the ASSOCIATION "RUGBY CLUB BALKAN CATS" the following project activities are envisaged: 1. Organizing and creating an information platform - a website for greater information and transparency, as well as increasing the interaction between the Municipality of Berkovitsa, citizens and ASSOCIATION "RUGBY CLUB BALKAN CATS" and gathering their views on important issues for society. 2. Activities for civilian monitoring of policies and legislation to improve governance in the field of sport and making proposals for reformulating these policies by conducting demonstration activities related to the sport of rugby under the guidance of qualified instructors, in order to receive feedback from participants for their desire and interest in training 4. Information campaigns and meetings in order to increase civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation by informing the public about the benefits of sports. Provoking people to express opinions and make decisions. 5. Creating channels for feedback and analysis of the results obtained from the opinion of citizens. Development of a report on the awareness and attitudes of the citizens, accompanied by recommendations for better and more effective communication and higher satisfaction with the management of the Municipality of Berkovitsa in order to have an impact at the local level.
