Increasing citizen participation in the implementation of policies at the local level to adapt to the Green Deal

The implementation of this project will support the effective dialogue for open and responsible partnership management regarding the local environmental policies in the municipalities in Bulgaria and their adaptation to the Green Deal. The project will be implemented by the expert team of the GREEN INDUSTRY INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFER FOUNDATION in partnership with the S.O.S ENTREPRENEURS FOUNDATION and will be involved representatives of organizations with whom preliminary talks on the topic have been done - the units of the municipal administrations related to the environment. Four main implementation activities are envisaged, which will be implemented through the hiring of a qualified and expert team that will study the existing active policies for adaptation to the Green Deal in Europe, as well as assess the impact potential through specialized workshops to promote the transition to the Green Deal in three Bulgarian municipalities, which will be determined after selection within the framework of the project. A report will be prepared for each of the main activities related to research and analysis, and the information activities in order to increase civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation will be carried out by outsourcing the project. The project support will lead to increased civic participation and interaction, leading to open, responsible and partnership management in the implementation and monitoring of local policies related to the transition to the Green Deal.
