Increasing citizens' participation in the development of legislation and for the implementation of active policies in the creative industries sector

The overall goal of the project is to increase civic participation in the implementation of policies for the development of creative industries in Bulgaria - a sector that has great potential to contribute to increasing the innovative nature and competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy The specific objectives of the project are: 1 Improving the interaction of the state administration with the business working in the field of creative industries and the citizens who use the services and products of this important economic sector. 2 Improving the transparency and efficiency in the preparation and implementation of specific measures for development and support of the creative industries by the administration and improving its cooperation with business and the civil sector in taking into account the effects of these policies The main activities of the project are: 1 Research and analysis of the legal framework and the socio-economic impact of the creative industries in Bulgaria and making recommendations 2 Advocacy campaign for recognition of the role of creative industries for economic development with a focus on Sofia Municipality 3 Information activities to promote the role of creative industries in the development of the Bulgarian economy The target groups of the project are: 1 Structures of the state administration and Sofia Municipality working in the field of creative industries 2 Business 3 General public The project aims to improve the civic participation in the development of the creative industries sector by giving recommendations for optimizing legislation and improving policies implemented by the state and Sofia Municipality in their support As a result of the project implementation, specific solutions will be provided to improve the regulatory framework and policies for the development of the sector, which has huge potential to contribute to the sustainable economic and social development at national level and in Sofia in particular
