Together for the Bulgarian Village: Overcoming the challenges related to the need for timely improvement of the national legislation in the field of agriculture and rural development by properly adapting the regulatory framework for the implementation of policies in the sector

The project proposal is aimed at the active participation of representatives of the agricultural sector and rural businesses in the development of strategic documents defining policies and their implementation after 2023, and in particular two of the main strategic documents: Strategic Plan for Agriculture and Rural Development 2023-2027 and the National Plan for Reconstruction and Sustainability. The project activities are structured in a way that allows upgrading the results of the previous campaign "Together for the Bulgarian village!", Which is already recognizable, so the name and visualizations will be preserved and used in order to achieve maximum effect. The two-year delay in the new programming period for the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy and the global pandemic have created new challenges and opportunities for the agricultural sector and rural areas. This is reflected in the formulation of new targeted policies, some of which are dictated by the need to maintain the sustainability and competitiveness of the sector. The activities of the new campaign, carried out in the most appropriate period for this purpose, will be focused on them. The planned analyzes, studies and recommendations to the responsible institutions will be focused on adapting to current challenges and new requirements and priorities of the EU national legislation, together with the implementation of the National Plan for Reconstruction and Sustainability in its part aimed at agriculture and rural areas. The project activities will seek better adaptation of the rules to the real opportunities and needs of the agricultural sector and rural areas in the country, their better understanding by stakeholders, as well as achieving maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of various forms of financing.
