Advisory Councils on tourism – civil monitoring of their functioning in the context of Covid 19

The main aim of the project is to carry out civil monitoring on the functioning and activities of the Advisory Councils on Tourism and to formulate appropriate recommendations for improving their functioning, in view of the need to develop tourism and improve tourism services at local (municipal) level. The project will meet the needs of a quality and modern tourist product of the following target groups: • Municipal administrations and their employees, as participants in the Adv. Councils on tourism; • NGOs relevant to the development of tourism in the respective municipality; • Companies developing a tourism business; • The general public, in its capacity of user of tourist services. The project activities and expected results are as follows: Act. 1 “Analysis of the activities and functions of the Adv. Councils on Tourism and their place in the implementation of the strategic objectives and priorities set out in the Nat. Strategy for Sustainable Tourism Development in the Republic of Bulgaria. Regulatory requirements and state of play at local level”, with the following expected results: an analysis carried out and a report of the analysis prepared. Act. 2 “Carrying out research and monitoring among selected municipalities on the functioning of the Adv. Councils established on the basis of Art. 13, para 1 of the Tourism Act”, with the following expected results: survey and monitoring among selected municipalities on the functioning of Adv. Councils on tourism carried out and a report prepared. Act. 3 “Identifying opportunities for improvement concerning the functioning of Adv. Councils on tourism at local level. Formulating and addressing recommendations. Development of a “White Paper on Good Practice”, with the following expected results: - 9 recommendations for improving the functioning of the Adv. Councils on tourism formulated and addressed; - “White Paper” of good practices concerning the functioning of the Adv. Councils on tourism developed.
