"ACTIVE ROMA — INCREASED CIVIC PARTICIPATION IN THE MONITORING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MUNICIPAL POLICIES FOR EQUALITY, INCLUSION AND INVOLVEMENT OF THE ROMA IN MONTANA DISTRICT"

The project meets the need for direct participation of civil society in the work of state and local authorities, as well as in decision-making and implementation of national and local policies for Roma inclusion. Target groups are: 1. Structures of the state administration, state authorities, municipalities and their employees in the district of Montana; 2. Non-governmental organizations and their employees from the district of Montana; 3. The Montana District community: The overall objective of the project proposal is open and responsible management of the implementation of the national policies for equality, participation and inclusion of Roma from the municipalities in Montana district. Expected results: - report with analysis and evaluation of the implementation of the municipal plans for implementation of the national Strategy for Roma integration 2019-2021; - 3 recommendations to the Municipalities of Lom, Montana and the district administration, on the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies related to the implementation of the National Strategy for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma 2021 - 2030; - advocacy campaign to push the recommendations; - information campaign to raise public awareness. The project proposal includes 4 main activities: 1. Civic monitoring through analysis and evaluation of the implementation of the municipal plans of Montana and Lom for the implementation of the national strategy for Roma integration; 2. Development of proposals for reformulation of municipal policies for Roma integration and improvement of civic participation in them; 3. Advocacy campaign for inclusion of the recommendations in the municipal and regional plan for implementation of the new national Strategy for equality, inclusion and participation of the Roma 2021 - 2030; 4. Information activities for increasing civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of the proposed policies.
