I decide - effective civic participation through a pilot mechanism for sustainable partnership with citizenship at the district level

The project lasts 12 months. The main planned activities are: - Carrying out research, analysis and recommendations for the work of the District Administration - Plovdiv - Conducting studies of good practices for civic participation in the work of the administration in Bulgaria and in EU countries with comparable socio-economic conditions - Civil monitoring of the actions of the administration - Development of a new model for effective civic participation - a pilot mechanism for partnership with citizenship at the regional level through the mechanisms of deliberative/rotational democracy. Practical pilot application of the model - Information campaign The project covers the pilot introduction of a new model for effective civic participation - a mechanism for partnership with citizenship at the district level through the mechanisms of deliberative/rotational democracy. The current forms of civic participation are known to be not very effective, and in addition they are almost exclusively at the municipal level-in practice there are none at the district level, due to the known fact that this second level of decentralization in our country is not developed, there is no analogue of the local authority-the municipal councils. The project envisages the introduction of an experimental model that is realistic, innovative and brings the benefits of deliberative and digital democracy (the model was created years ago at Plovdiv University, implemented at the municipal level in Plovdiv, presented in the European Parliament and other international forums). The project will contribute to: - increasing the interaction between the administration and the citizens in Plovdiv region - analysis of opinions and recommendations of citizens, NGOs, business and local authorities for the work of the District Administration - Improved and experimented with a new model for effective civic participation in policy making at the district level, improving the work of the administration.
