"THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL POLICIES FOR EQUALITY, INCLUSION AND INVOLVEMENT OF THE ROMA IN SLIVEN AND TVARDITSA MUNICIPALITIES — SUBJECT OF ACTIVE CIVIC MONITORING AND PARTICIPATION"

The project proposal meets the need for direct participation of civil society in the work of state and local authorities, as well as in decision-making and implementation of national and local policies in the field of Roma inclusion. TARGET GROUPS from Sliven district: 1. Structures of the state administration, bodies of state power; 2. Non-governmental organizations; 3. The general public. THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE of the project proposal is to increase through civic participation the role of the municipalities Sliven and Tvarditsa for open and responsible management of the implementation of the national policies for equality, participation and inclusion of the Roma. EXPECTED RESULTS: - report with analysis and evaluation of the implementation of the Municipal plans of Sliven and Tvarditsa for implementation of the national strategy for Roma integration for the period 2019-2021; - 3 Recommendations to the municipalities and the regional administration, concerning the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of the policies related to the implementation of the National Strategy of Bulgaria for equality, inclusion and participation of the Roma 2021 - 2030; - Advocacy campaign conducted for adoption of the recommendations; - conducted an information campaign to raise public awareness. ACTIVITIES: 1. Civic monitoring through analysis and evaluation of the implementation of the Municipal plans of Sliven and Tvarditsa for the implementation of the national strategy for Roma integration; 2. Development of proposals for reformulation of municipal policies for Roma integration and improvement of civic participation in them; 3. Advocacy campaign to promote the recommendations; 4. Information activities for increasing the civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of the National Strategy of Bulgaria for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of the Roma - 2021 - 2030.
