Partnership for evaluation of the of social policies' implementation at the municipality of Pernik

The project proposal aims to create sustainable partnerships for the implementation of social policies in the municipality of Pernik, by involving stakeholders in joint initiatives to conduct civic monitoring of the effect of the implementation of social policies. The expected result of the project implementation is related to increasing citizen participation in policy monitoring and improving decision-making processes at the local level. Opportunities will be created for the realization of the ideas of citizens and NGOs related to social policies. Conducting civic monitoring will be a corrective to the implementation of municipal policies and a basis for effective future cooperation in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies in the social sphere. The expected benefits of conducting civil monitoring of the implementation of social policies can be defined as: - independent civic assessment of the implementation and effect of authoritarian decisions in the field of social policies implemented at the local level; - confirmation/emphasis on the needs and requirements of the citizens, which are reported and determined as significant by the local government and their reflection in the strategic documents of the municipality; - strengthening the focus on the rights, needs and opportunities for people with disabilities in the municipality of Pernik with the implementation of advocacy activities; - achieving sustainability of decisions in the field of social policies in the long run, in order to meet the identified needs of citizens and the community and achieve lasting results. The target groups targeted by the project include municipal leaders and specialists responsible for social services in Pernik municipality, civil society organizations - providers and users of social services, decentralized state structures (Regional Directorate of Social Assistance, Social Assistance Directorates) and the public on the territory of the municipality.
