Informed civil society for implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation in the Municipality of Pirdop

The project proposal will satisfy the need to strengthen civic participation in the process of implementation of decisions and monitoring of policies and legislation adequate to the public needs in the Municipality of Pirdop. Active civic participation is based on the application of the principles of transparency, openness and efficiency of local government and is a condition for the proper functioning of local administration. The target groups that will be covered by the project proposal are: active civil society, incl. business representatives, non-governmental sector, employees of the local administration Pirdop Municipality. The main goal of the project proposal is to develop and stimulate mechanisms of partnership between civil society, NGOs, business and local government in the process of implementing development policies, monitoring mechanisms - a guarantee of open and responsible governance. Expected results: Identified mechanisms for partnership between the administration, civil society, NGO sector and business in the Pirdop Municipality-research and analysis. Implemented tools for increasing the activity of the non-governmental sector and business and conducted consultations. Recommendations were made to the local administration regarding the forms and their effectiveness for increasing civic participation and business in the process of policy reformulation, as well as forms for open and responsible behavior during their implementation and opportunities for monitoring and observation. Increased awareness of the target group about the forms of civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation. The goals and expected results will be achieved through research, analysis and identification of forms of partnership, initiated by stakeholders after consultation with them, conducting information campaigns for the target group and making clearly defined recommendations to the local administration.
