Open and effective management of Kostinbrod municipality in partnership with citizens and businesses

The project is aimed at increasing civic participation in the processes of formulation, implementation and monitoring of public policy related to economic development and attracting investments in the municipality of Kostinbrod, by conducting independent civic monitoring, supporting dialogue between municipal administrations (MA), businesses, NGOs and citizens and definition of proposals to local authority for open and responsible governance. The project objective is formulated in connection with objectives 1 and 2 of the procedure BG05SFOP001-2.025, as the project focuses on creating an environment for increasing the interaction and active participation of all stakeholders in formulating, implementing and monitoring policies and improving the regulatory environment. This will contribute for more open and responsible management in the municipality of Kostinbrod and in the long term will contribute for the establishment of the region as a preferred place for business investment. The project specific objectives are: 1. Active civic participation in the process of formulation, implementation and monitoring of local policy for sustainable local development and attracting investment in the municipality of Kostinbrod. 2. Establishment of mechanisms and implementation of the practices for partnership management and dialogue between Municipality of Kostinbrod, business,NGO sector and citizens for implementation of effective local policy for the benefit of the public; 3. Defining and making recommendations to the MA Kostinbrod for improving the processes of providing services, improving the regulatory environment, compliance with ethical norms, creating conditions for open and responsible governance and improving the environment for civic participation in the governance process. The target groups of the project include employees of the MA Kostinbrod, representatives of the business and NGO sector, local initiative committees, community centers, local media and citizens.
