Civil society in partnership with local authorities

This project proposal is aimed at strengthening the interaction of civil society and local government in the municipality of Levski by developing and implementing effective mechanisms for creating transparent and effective governance for the benefit of citizens. The project envisages a set of activities, the sequence of which is selected so as to ensure the achievement of the objectives, results and indicators set in the project. The following activities are envisaged within the project: 1. Carrying out research, developing analysis and making recommendations in order to improve the process of implementation and monitoring of local policies in Levski. 2. Development of an online platform for civic participation in local policies. 3. Development of rules and procedures for working with the online platform. 4. Methodology for impact assessment and improvement of the environment for civic participation in governance. 5. Information activities to increase civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of local policies. The successful implementation of the project will contribute to improving the process of implementation and monitoring of local policies and will create conditions for achieving open and responsible governance. The implementation of the activities envisaged under the project will intensify civic participation in the processes of implementation and monitoring of local policies in the municipality of Levski and will contribute to improving the dialogue between local authorities and citizens, including NGOs and business. Expected results: 1. Increasing the interaction between the administration, the citizens and the business. 2. Increasing the activity of the civil sector in the implementation and monitoring of policies. 3. Making recommendations for improving the processes of implementation and monitoring of local policies. 4. Improving the socio-economic environment as a result of more open and responsible governance.
