Enhancing youth participation in the implementation and monitoring of youth policy at local level - creating a model of institualisation of deliberative democracy for increased participation of youth in local self-government

The project aims through information campaigns, youth debates, working meetings, round tables and capacity building for civic monitoring to activate the youth for practical application of the "deliberative democracy" increasing youth participation in the implementation and monitoring of youth policy at local level and thus contribute to open and accountable local governance acting in partnership with the citizens and their structures. The project plans activities that will contribute to the achievement of both objectives of the procedure, coinciding with the second and third strategic objectives of the Strategy for the Development of Public Administration 2014-2020: 1. Governance in partnership with citizens and business; 2. Open and accountable governance. The practical implementation of the project includes research, preparation of analytical reports, advocacy campaign for equal inclusion and career development of young women for developing their potential in line with the Youth Strategy, formulation and submission to institutions of youth recommendations to the process of policy formulation, implementation and monitoring, for changes in strategic documents, for improvement in the consultative processes for planning, implementation and monitoring of public policies. The successful implementation of the project contributes to: For "partnership governance" - effective dialogue with citizens, proposals for improved service delivery processes with improved accessibility to youth services for working youth and partnership for a better regulatory environment. For "open and transparent governance" - increased public awareness of youth policy implementation, improved monitoring and evaluation of policies corresponding to the Youth Act goal for inclusion of young people in governance. Through the established fit for multiplication model of partnership between socioeconomic partners, youth groups and local government the project will have an impact at local level.
