Professionals in the Implementation of the Judicial Reform (PROFI): Bulgarian Investigators’ Chamber with Citizen and Expert Contribution to the Efficient Functions of the Judicial Power

The current project aims to improve the efficiency of the judicial system by making recommendations to optimize the work of the investigative bodies in investigating crimes in areas of high public and professional significance. This will be done through the following two activities: Activity 1 provides for the development of four specialized manuals that will present up to date methodologies and best practices and will make recommendations for investigation of certain types of crimes of high social and professional importance. Within the framework of project Activity 2 two training seminars will be held for 200 investigators, aiming to present to the participants from the target group the results of the analytical work under Activity 1, as well as the methodologies developed. At least 180 investigators will receive certificates for the successfully completed training. A compendium, containing the four methodological manuals will be printed. Within the framework of Activity 3 the mandatory information and publicity actions will be implemented. Project duration is 18 months and its budget is calculated at 98 648.28 BGN.
