Transparent and efficient judiciary through the introduction of modern technologies into the Bulgarian court

This project proposal has been developed to reflect the idea of ​​achieving a modern and efficient judiciary system in Bulgaria through the necessary institutional and regulatory reforms which fully correspond to the concept of the Updated Strategy for Continuing of the Judicial Reform. On the one hand, the project focuses on implementing measures in favor of modernizing the lawsuit processes by encouraging the use of modern audio-recording equipment, and on the other hand, is aimed at encouraging civilian control and participation in the implementation of strategic measures to implement the reform of the judiciary. In order to achieve this, the National Association Legal Initiative for Open Governement plans to carry out the following main activities: Study of the court practice in Bulgaria, Exploration of good practices, Preparation of a strategy for optimizing the administration of court hearings, which envisages measures to promote civil control in court proceedings and conducting an awareness campaign to reach the general public and target groups of the project, incl. providing conditions for cooperation between the target groups. Expected results from the implementation of the project include increased civilian control over the reform of the judiciary and an increase in the number of actively involved NGOs in the process, recommendations for improvement of the judiciary and best practices translated, as a result of the support will increase the efficiency of the work the institutions of the judiciary and increase the public trust to them.
