Judicial reform under the magnifying glass

The project “Judicial reform under the magnifying glass” will be implemented on the territory of Ruse District. The activities are aimed at analyzing the work of the Ruse Regional Court, through a survey of the opinion of citizens, NGOs, business organizations; Developing practical guidelines and sample documents for vulnerable groups of citizens in order to ensure effective access to justice; Holding a Round table for popularization of specific measures for optimizing the activity of the Ruse Regional Court in the interest of the citizens; Elaboration of a media strategy of Ruse Regional Court; Implementation of a system of civil monitoring on the activity and the work of the court; Analyzing the media coverage of the work of the Ruse Regional Court and studying good European practices for the efficient functioning of the judiciary, promoting the achieved results by: a one-day conference, thematic lectures in the Ruse schools. The target groups of the project are: citizens, NGOs, business organizations, state and European institutions and the staff of the Ruse Regional Court. The expected results of the project are: prepared reports with analysis of the opinions of citizens, businesses, NGOs on the work of the judiciary; Realized civil control over the work of the Ruse Regional Court; Elaborated new documents in the interest of vulnerable groups, enhancing the efficiency of the District Court; Recommendations to improve court performance; Raising citizens' awareness of the reform of the judiciary; Improved image of the judiciary at the local level. Candidate for the project proposal is Center” Dinamika” Association. The Association has implemented numerous projects and initiatives in the field of human rights protection, in particular those of women and children, focusing on victims of gender-based violence and multiple discrimination. Partners of the project are Open Society Club - Ruse and Ruse Regional Court.
