Rule of Law and Economic Growth

Judiciary reform is crucial to economic development and therefore it is necessary to increase its efficiency, efficiency and transparency. The main goal of the project is to support the efforts of a judiciary and to ensure the involvement of civil society. The specific goals are to increase trust and apply an economic and financial analysis to improve the judiciary. Target groups are Ministry of Justice, Supreme Judicial Council, Civic Council of the SJC, NGOs, citizens, business, media. Activities: 1: Analysis of the implementation of ECHR judgments in key criminal cases Results - analysis, round table, articles. Effects – eliminated problems in application. 2: Analysis of the effects of the separation of the SJC on two professional colleges Results - analysis, publications, opinions, recommendations. Effects - improved efficiency. 3: Monitoring the procedure for electing a new Chief Prosecutor and Inspectors at the ISJC Results - articles, questions to the candidates, participation in the procedure. Effects - improved procedure. 4: Analysis and visualization of data on the work of a judiciary Results - a Map and commentaries. Effects - improved transparency, fostered NGO participation, attracted media interest. 5: Seminar on Impact Assessment to NGOs Results - analysis and training. Effects - increased capacity. 6: Current comments on judiciary reform Results - articles, opinions, interviews. Effects - increased knowledge, improved policies. 7: Participation in SJC and MJ working groups Results - participation in meetings, opinions. Effects - activation of NGO sector. 8: Participation in discussions organized by the Committee on Legal Affairs at the National Assembly Results - attended meetings, opinions. Effects - improved work quality, monitoring. 9: Analysis of capital expenditures of the judiciary Results - analysis, recommendations, articles. Effects - improved performance.
