Justice and public trust

The proposed project contributes to reforming the structure and organization of the judiciary by increasing civil control over judicial reform and increasing the number of NGO's and local branches of professional organizations involved in this process in Vidin district. The project envisages activities for: studying the public participation in the administration of justice through the institute of jurors and organizing debates for its promotion; developing a mechanism for feedback and assessment by citizens and businesses for their relations with the judiciary; holding round tables for control over the publicity and transparency in the work of the courts and building a network of civil society organizations and nationally representative organizations for exercising control and feedback; information and communication on the project. Improving the control of the civil sector over the implementation of the reform of the judiciary and the participation of civil society in the processes of modernization and monitoring can be achieved exclusively through a systematic approach to quality management in the judiciary. Public trust goes through effective forms of communication, accessible information and accountability for the activities of judicial institutions. This approach is also the focus of the proposed project. Through surveys and analyzes within the existing models and the specifics of civic participation and control, emphasis is placed on the system of civic monitoring, which includes the development of mechanisms and tools for public feedback and assessment by citizens and businesses for their relations with the authorities. of the judiciary with a built in model-mechanism for civil monitoring and involvement of stakeholders in the improvement processes. A network of civil society organizations and nationally representative organizations of workers and employees and employers will be established to exercise control and feedback.
